When I was young, I always enjoyed family gatherings during the holidays and collecting recipes and gluing them on 3x5 index cards in junior high school. We would always have two Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to attend (going to both grandparents’ homes).
My grandmothers and great aunts were fantastic cooks and my parents always enjoyed cooking and even ran a carryout and catered small dinner parties when they were younger. I also sold home cooked chicken dinners with a girlfriend when I was in high school.
With everyone on the fast track daily, so many families do not take the time to enjoy themselves and really enjoy great home cooked meals and great conversations with each other around the dinner table. Chef Cassie is very motivated
about
“bringing families back to the dinner table.”
As the owner of a successful event management company, I incorporated my love for food in the special events field working with caterers for meetings, fundraisers and other special events. Also, as a director for my family’s child development centers, I was certified for food service and created menus, ordered foods from suppliers and filled in as cook when needed.
Over the years, I’ve subscribed to every cooking magazine, tested numerous recipes, watched the trends of cooking shows, and taken a variety of culinary courses.
I get so much satisfaction from the smiles and compliments I receive from others when they enjoy something I’ve prepared. All my life, whether a birthday, anniversary, holiday or other special event; fantastic food has always been a very important and intricate part of every celebration.
My memories and fondness of great food and great food experiences include – family, friends, food and festive occasions. Hence, The Festive Chef!
