| What is a Personal Chef?
A Personal Chef is someone in charge of the kitchen who prepares meals for his or her clients to enjoy later. A Personal Chef helps families gather around the table for meals, allows individuals to eat healthier, and offers busy couples enjoyment of quality time for things that they love, including great food.
What is the difference between a Private Chef and a Personal Chef?
Personal Chefs customarily work for many clients, a Private Chef works for only one client. Personal Chefs are known for providing meals, custom in-home catering, commercial kitchens offering clients delivery services, party assistance, special additions like holiday cooking, baking, and prepped meals.
How do I get started with a Personal Chef?
We will set up a time where I come to your home for a consultation interview. At this time we will discuss your culinary preferences, address any food allergies or dietary needs, and tour your kitchen and how it is equipped, as well as conduct an inventory. This interview also allows us to get acquainted with each other and provides me with the information I need to customize your personalized menus.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured and hold the ServSafe Food Manager Certification. I am also a member of the Personal Chefs Network (PCN). Please note that my liability insurance does not allow me to purchase or serve alcoholic beverages.
Do I need to be home when you cook?
I come to the clients home when they are working, or have other obligations outside the home. During our consultation interview, we will discuss home access and safety issues.
How long will you be in my kitchen?
My cheffing days vary depending on the number of entrees, sides and other services requested. This may range from four to six hours. I pride myself on completing the services agreed upon promptly and professionally.
